Website Accessibility Statement

Effective date: July 17, 2026
Last updated: July 17, 2026

Our commitment

Timmy Marrinan Counseling PLLC is committed to making its Website and information reasonably accessible to people with disabilities.

We want visitors to be able to learn about the Practice, review services and fees, request information, and access important policies regardless of disability or the assistive technology they use.

Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. We will continue working to identify and address barriers as the Website changes.

Accessibility standard

The Practice is working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, Level AA.

These guidelines address accessibility for people with a range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

This statement describes our accessibility goal. It is not a representation that every page or third-party feature is free from every accessibility barrier.

Measures we take

Depending on the content and technology involved, the Practice makes reasonable efforts to:

  • Use a clear and consistent page structure;

  • Provide one meaningful main heading on each page;

  • Organize content with properly ordered headings;

  • Use descriptive links rather than vague text such as “click here”;

  • Add alternative text to meaningful images;

  • Mark decorative images so assistive technologies can disregard them;

  • Maintain readable text and color contrast;

  • Avoid relying on color alone to communicate meaning;

  • Support keyboard navigation;

  • Preserve visible keyboard focus;

  • Use properly labeled form fields;

  • Provide understandable form instructions and error messages;

  • Avoid unnecessary animation and automatically playing media;

  • Provide captions or transcripts for meaningful audio and video;

  • Support browser zoom and text enlargement;

  • Maintain usable layouts on mobile devices and smaller screens;

  • Use plain language where reasonably possible;

  • Avoid placing essential information only inside an image;

  • Review new pages and major Website changes for accessibility; and

  • Provide information through another reasonable method when a Website barrier cannot be corrected immediately.

Squarespace platform

The Website is hosted through Squarespace, which provides certain built-in accessibility features.

The Practice is responsible for how it selects templates, organizes content, chooses colors, adds images, configures forms, embeds third-party services, and adds custom code.

Platform features alone do not guarantee that the completed Website is accessible.

Third-party content

Some functions may be provided by third parties, such as:

  • The Sessions Health client portal;

  • Scheduling tools;

  • Payment processing;

  • Embedded maps;

  • Videos;

  • Social-media content;

  • External documents; or

  • Other linked resources.

The Practice may not control every accessibility feature of a third-party platform. We nevertheless welcome reports of barriers and will make reasonable efforts to:

  • Help visitors access the needed information;

  • Provide an alternative method;

  • Report the issue to the provider; or

  • Use a more accessible option when reasonably available.

Documents and downloadable materials

The Practice aims to make important Website documents readable with common assistive technologies.

Older documents or materials supplied by third parties may not yet be fully accessible. Contact us when you need a document in another format.

Reasonable alternatives may include:

  • Accessible HTML;

  • A tagged or remediated PDF;

  • A large-print version;

  • Plain text;

  • A telephone explanation; or

  • Another format appropriate to the request.

Requesting assistance or reporting a barrier

Please contact the Practice if you:

  • Have difficulty using the Website;

  • Cannot access information or complete a form;

  • Encounter a keyboard, screen-reader, contrast, caption, or mobile-display problem;

  • Need a document in another format; or

  • Have a suggestion for improving accessibility.

When possible, include:

  • The page or feature involved;

  • A brief description of the problem;

  • The browser and device you were using;

  • The assistive technology involved, if any; and

  • The format or accommodation that would be useful.

You are not required to disclose a diagnosis or provide medical documentation merely to report a Website barrier.

Emergency limitation

Accessibility inquiries are not monitored as an emergency service.

Do not use the accessibility contact method, Website form, email, text message, or voicemail when immediate assistance is needed.

Ongoing review

The Practice may periodically review the Website using a combination of:

  • Automated accessibility-testing tools;

  • Keyboard-only navigation;

  • Browser zoom and reflow testing;

  • Mobile-device testing;

  • Color-contrast testing;

  • Screen-reader review; and

  • Manual inspection of headings, links, images, forms, and documents.

Because websites and accessibility standards evolve, this statement may be updated as the Website, content, or testing practices change.
